| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central device depicts the Qajar imperial lion passant to the left, bearing a sword raised in its right forepaw, with a radiant rising sun emerging from behind its back — the Shir-o-Khorshid (Lion and Sun) emblem of Qajar Iran. The lion stands upon a plain ground line within an unadorned field. The entire central device is encircled by a wreath of two branches, tied at the base and surmounted at the apex by a Qajar crown, all enclosed within a beaded border. The composition is executed in the robust, stylised manner typical of Tehran Mint copper issues of the 1290s AH decade. |
