| 正面描述 | Central field displays the denomination numeral '۵۰' (50) in large Eastern Arabic numerals, enclosed within a wreath of oak branches tied at the base with a ribbon bow. The Imperial Zoroastrian calendar date appears in Eastern Arabic numerals along the lower exergue, below the wreath. The coin's milled border frames the entire design. The overall composition is bold and uncluttered, characteristic of late Pahlavi-era coinage. |

The brass-plated steel composition of KM#1156a replaced an earlier cupro-nickel version as part of a broader cost-cutting rationalization of Iran's minor coinage in the mid-1970s — a move that proved short-lived. The Islamic Revolution of 1979 ended the Pahlavi monetary series entirely, and coins bearing Mohammad Rezā Shāh's name were withdrawn from circulation and largely melted or discarded by the new government.
Surviving examples in circulation grades are common; in mint state, the plating integrity becomes the critical variable, as the steel core corrodes readily where the brass layer has thinned or chipped.
