Obverse description Pearl-diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Gunthamund facing right, set within a surrounding Latin legend. The portrait follows late Roman imperial conventions, with the diadem rendered as a row of pearls and the cuirass indicating the ruler's military authority. The effigy is executed in the somewhat schematic style characteristic of Vandal silver coinage of the late fifth century.

Reverse description Within a beaded inner circle, the value mark 'D·N' — an abbreviation for the denomination in denarii — appears in two large letters separated by a central dot, with a horizontal bar above surmounting the letters. The entire central device is enclosed by a prominent wreath of laurel branches rendered in schematic style, filling the full width of the flan. A plain horizontal line divides the legend from the lower field. The composition is bold and graphic, typical of the Vandal monetary tradition adapted from late Roman provincial coinage.
