| Reverse description | The reverse presents a three-quarter facing portrait bust of Rubén Darío, the celebrated Nicaraguan poet, depicted with his head slightly turned and his right hand raised to his cheek in a contemplative pose, all contained within a raised circular border. The inscriptions 32 GRAMOS and ORO FINO appear within the inner circle to the left and right of the portrait respectively, denoting the fine gold content. The outer legend reads •RUBEN DARIO• arcing across the upper field, with CENTENARIO NACIMIENTO 1967 continuing around the lower field to commemorate the centennial of his birth. The rim is adorned with a continuous border of raised beads matching the obverse. |
