| Obverse description | Printed on a lavender-purple polymer substrate, the obverse carries a central architectural vignette of the original Banco Central de Nicaragua building, captioned "EDIFICIO ANTIGUO BCN", with the large numeral "50" and the inscription "CINCUENTA CÓRDOBAS" to the upper left.
