| 裏面の説明 | Printed entirely in dark blue, the reverse centres on a large intaglio vignette of the Nicaraguan national flag on a flagpole, with the triangular coat of arms visible on the flag's white stripe. Denomination numerals "50" appear within ornate guilloche cartouches at left and right, and the denomination in words is set in bold lettering across the lower centre. Elaborate lathe-work and foliate scroll borders frame the design, with the printer's imprint in small type at the foot. |

Thomas De La Rue held the Nicaraguan printing contract through much of the Somoza period, and this series reflects that continuity — the notes were produced in London and shipped to Managua for issue through the Banco Nacional, which at the time functioned as both commercial bank and central bank under the same roof. The dual role was a structural oddity that persisted until the Banco Central de Nicaragua was established in 1961, making this series among the last issued under that arrangement.
The watermark is the sole security feature, which was standard for De La Rue's mid-tier contracts of this period.
