Reverse description The reverse is printed in dark blue-black intaglio on plain paper, with 'BANCO INTERNACIONAL DE COSTA RICA' across the top within an ornate guilloche border. Two large stylised monogram letters flank a central oval guilloche medallion bearing the numeral '50', with 'CAJA DE CONVERSIÓN' inscribed below. Repeated micro-numeral '50' patterns form the decorative borders on all four sides, and the imprint 'AMERICAN BANK NOTE COMPANY' appears at the lower margin.
