The legend ROYAUME DU LAOS appears along the left arc in Latin script, with the Lao script inscription ພະຣາຊະອານາຈັກລາວ along the right arc; the Lao word ຮັຖທັນະນູນ (Constitution) appears on a band across the altar table. The date 1952 is inscribed at the bottom of the field in Arabic numerals. The overall design reflects the newly established constitutional monarchy of Laos, rendered in a clean, modernist engraving style. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | The central field displays a large, finely engraved lotus or foliate rosette composed of multiple pointed leaves arranged symmetrically around the central round hole, creating a bold decorative motif characteristic of Lao artistic tradition. Above the central device, the Lao numeral ໑໙໕໒ is inscribed at the top, flanked to the left and right by the Lao numerals ໕໐ and ງັດ respectively. Below the central motif, the denomination 50 CENTS is inscribed in Latin numerals and letters, with the word ESSAI and the date 1952 appearing in the lower exergue, flanked by small decorative floral stops. The clean, uncluttered layout emphasises the ornamental quality of the central leaf rosette. |
