Reverse description The reverse adopts the stylistic design language of the euro 50-cent coinage, featuring the large numeral 50 rendered in bold relief occupying the left and central field, overlaid on a series of fine diagonal lines. To the right, a helmeted equestrian figure — evoking the Norse/Celtic lordship tradition associated with the Isle of Man — is depicted in right-facing profile on a rearing horse. Twelve five-pointed stars border the upper and lower periphery in the manner of the European Union coinage series. The word SPECIMEN appears within an oval cartouche in the lower central field, and the mintmaster's mark C is present.
