| 背面描述 | The central field features a steel pan musician depicted in full figure, standing behind a set of three tenor steel drums (pan), rendered in fine relief. The denomination '50 CENTS' is inscribed in large characters in the upper central field, with '50' prominent above 'CENTS'. The commemorative legend 'TWENTIETH ANNIVERSARY OF INDEPENDENCE' curves around the full periphery of the coin in Latin characters. |

Trinidad and Tobago gained independence from Britain in August 1962, and the coinage series marking that transition went through several revisions over the following two decades. The KM#46 issue belongs to a later phase of that program, by which point the Central Bank had been operating independently since 1964 and the country had become a republic in 1976 — meaning the "Independence" branding on this coin refers back to an event already twenty years prior by the time of striking.
