Behind the rooster, stylized sunburst rays radiate from the horizon, flanked by colorful peony blossoms in pink and blue. To the upper right, the Chinese character for Rooster (雞) appears in the field. The date 2005 is inscribed in the upper left field, and the fineness and weight notation 1/2 oz .999 Silver appears in the lower central field. A beaded border encircles the entire design.
