Aanvullende informatie

Tuvalu's wildlife-themed bullion and collector series, issued through the Perth Mint under licensing arrangements with the Tuvaluan government, has been a consistent vehicle for Australian-minted silver since the early 2000s. The face value is essentially ceremonial — Tuvalu's actual circulating coinage is negligible, and these issues are produced entirely for the collector and investor market.

KM#273 is part of a broader Animals of the Continents or similarly scoped series; the Perth Mint's production standards for this weight class are tightly controlled, and the .999 fine specification places it outside standard sterling coinage practice.
