| 背面描述 | The reverse presents an illustrative scene from the Brothers Grimm fairy tale 'The Shoemaker in Heaven,' engraved by Cosme Saffioti in a detailed narrative style. At the centre, a shoemaker figure is depicted seated within a heavenly setting, flanked by an attending angel and Saint Peter, with additional celestial figures populating the surrounding field. Stylised clouds, rays of light, and foliate elements fill the exergue and border areas, lending the composition a richly ornamental quality. The engraver's initials FG appear within the field. |

Part of the Royal Canadian Mint's Folklore and Legends series launched in 2002, this issue draws from a Brothers Grimm tale — an unusual source for a national mint to canonize in silver. The series was aimed squarely at the collector market and saw no circulation whatsoever, which explains why examples in anything below gem condition are the exception rather than the rule.
