| Reverse description | Stylised cartographic depiction of the course of the River Nile across ancient Egypt, rendered in selective gold plating against a black nickel field. Key ancient sites are labelled and positioned along the river, including Alexandria, Giza, Sakkara, Heliópolis, Memphis, Amarna, Abydos, the Valley of the Kings, Karnak, Luxor, Hierakonopolis, Elephantine, Philae, and Abu Simbel, with the regions of Lower Egypt and Upper Egypt identified in the respective fields.
