One of twelve coins in the RCM's Vancouver 2010 Olympic collector series, this piece commemorates Canada's first Winter Olympics on home soil since Calgary 1988. Quatchi and Miga — the two principal mascots designed by Meomi Design — appeared across this circulation-intended series as a deliberate outreach to younger collectors, an unusual concession for a denomination that had seen almost no genuine pocket circulation in Canada for years by that point.
