Issued posthumously following Elizabeth II's death in September 2022, this piece is one of dozens of charm-format collectibles flooded onto the Pacific island market by private minting contractors operating through nominal issuing agreements with smaller Commonwealth central banks. Solomon Islands has appeared on the reverse of such pieces with increasing frequency since the mid-2010s, its monetary authority lending legal tender status to products designed and distributed almost entirely outside its borders.
