| 裏面の説明 | The reverse presents an intricately detailed rendition of the Canadian coat of arms, engraved by Thomas Shingles and enhanced with selective rose gold plating on the arms and cord. The central shield is quartered with the historic heraldic emblems of England, France, Scotland, and Ireland, with a sprig of three maple leaves in the base compartment; a lion rampant dexter supports the Union Jack and a unicorn sinister carries a flag emblazoned with three fleurs-de-lis. Above the shield rises a royal helmet wreathed in maple leaves, surmounted by a crowned lion passant guardant holding a red maple leaf, and above all is the Crown of St. Edward. Below the shield, a compartment ribbon bears the national motto A MARI USQUE AD MARE, flanked by a garland of the floral emblems of England, Scotland, France, and Ireland, while a ribbon surrounding the shield bears the motto of the Order of Canada: DESIDERANTES MELIOREM PATRIAM.
