Obverse description The obverse features the fourth effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, depicted in right-facing profile bust by engraver Susanna Blunt, whose initials 'SB' appear below the truncation. The Queen is shown wearing a diamond drop earring and a necklace, her hair arranged in a characteristic upswept coiffure. The surrounding legend reads 'ELIZABETH II' to the left and 'D•G•REGINA' to the right, rendered in raised Latin characters against a deeply mirrored proof field. The portrait is executed in fine relief, consistent with the Royal Canadian Mint's standard gold proof presentation of this era.
