| Obverse description | Right-facing crowned effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, as sculpted by Dora de Pédery-Hunt, occupying the central field. The Queen wears a jewelled crown, a pearl drop earring, and a pearl necklace, all rendered with fine detail characteristic of the proof finish. The legend ELIZABETH II is inscribed along the left arc and D•G•REGINA along the right arc. The portrait is encircled by a continuous beaded border. The mirrored proof fields provide strong contrast against the frosted relief of the effigy. |
