To the left, an unplated silver sprig of rose foliage with intricately engraved serrated leaves occupies the background field. The date 2005 is inscribed in script in the upper right of the field, and the engraver's initials CP appear at lower left near the rim. The composition contrasts the warm gold tone of the flowers against the frosted silver of the leaves, creating a naturalistic two-tone effect characteristic of this Royal Canadian Mint flower series. |
