Reverse description The Canadian coat of arms rendered in sharp cameo relief against a deeply mirrored proof field, depicting the quartered shield bearing the arms of England, Scotland, Ireland, and France, supported by a lion rampant guardant on the left and a unicorn on the right, with a crowned lion passant atop the helm above the shield. Below the shield, a compartment displays roses, thistles, shamrocks, and fleurs-de-lis, with a scroll bearing the motto A MARI USQUE AD MARE. The legend CANADA arcs along the upper left rim and 50 CENTS along the upper right rim in raised Latin capitals. A fine beaded border frames the entire composition.
