| Obverse description | The obverse features the fourth-effigy portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Dora de Pédery-Hunt, depicting the Queen in right-facing profile wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara and pearl drop earrings with a pearl necklace. The effigy is rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished field, with fine detail in the hair and crown ornamentation.
