Reverse description A stylized maple leaf rendered in outline occupies the central field, enclosing a composite heraldic design comprising a fleur-de-lis at upper center, a Tudor rose at center, a beaver at upper right, and a shamrock at lower left, commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Charlottetown and Quebec Conferences of 1864. The legend CANADA arcs along the upper periphery, while 50 CENTS appears along the lower periphery. The dual dates 1864 and 2014 flank the base of the maple leaf, with the designer's initials mb incuse below the central device. A beaded border encircles the entire composition.
