| Obverse description | Crowned effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished field, set within an ornate inner border of beaded pearls. The surrounding decorative field features four symmetrically arranged heraldic eagles with spread wings, separated by architectural pillar motifs and rows of stars, all in the style of Carolingian illuminated manuscript ornamentation. The mint mark 'CM' appears at upper left within the decorative border.
