| Obverse description | The sixth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Jody Clark, depicts the right-facing crowned bust of Her Majesty wearing the George IV State Diadem and the Victorian Coronation Necklace. The legend ELIZABETH II AUSTRALIA 2020 arcs around the upper periphery, with the designer's initials JC visible below the portrait truncation. The effigy presents the Queen in a mature, dignified rendering consistent with the portrait introduced for Commonwealth coinage from 2015. |
