| 背面描述 | Two mice are depicted in high relief amid ears of corn and husks, symbolising abundance and good fortune in the Chinese lunar tradition. The larger mouse is positioned above and to the left, climbing the corn stalks, while the smaller mouse faces forward in the lower right of the composition. To the right of the central design, the Chinese character 鼠 (Mouse) appears in stylised form above the English inscription MOUSE and the date 2020. The Perth Mint's P mintmark is visible in the lower right field, and the reverse was engraved by Ing Ing Jong. |

The 2020 lunar year began on January 25th, and Perth had this issue in hand well before then — the Mint's Australian Lunar Series has been running since 1996 and remains one of the few nationally-backed programs to sustain genuine collector demand across three full twelve-year cycles. The Mouse, or Rat depending on translation convention, last appeared in 2008, meaning buyers of that earlier release returned to complete the pattern.
The sixth portrait of Elizabeth II, by Jody Clark, was introduced to Australian coinage in 2019 after a transitional period during which different denominations carried different effigies simultaneously.
