Aanvullende informatie

The 2006 Commonwealth Games were held in Melbourne — the first time Australia had hosted since Brisbane in 1982 — and the Royal Australian Mint issued a series of fifty-cent pieces covering individual sports to mark the occasion. Cycling was among the disciplines represented. These circulated alongside regular fifty-cent pieces and were legal tender, though most were pulled from circulation or saved on issue.
