Obverse description The fourth effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Ian Rank-Broadley, faces right wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara. The legend ELIZABETH II AUSTRALIA 2003 arcs around the upper periphery, with the designer's initials IRB truncated below the portrait. The Queen's bare shoulders are visible, and the effigy is rendered in a refined, naturalistic style characteristic of Rank-Broadley's work.
