Reverse description A boldly rendered eagle with wings outstretched occupies the central field, clutching an olive branch in its talons as a symbol of peace. Behind the eagle, a divided background references both the American Stars and Stripes on the left and the Southern Cross constellation of the Australian flag on the right, symbolising the Allied partnership that secured victory in the Pacific theatre of World War II. The upper legend VICTORY IN THE PACIFIC arcs across the rim, while the commemorative date 1945 appears in the exergue. The Perth Mint's P mintmark is positioned to the right of the eagle near the inner border, and the designer's initials are visible in the lower field.
