Obverse description The fourth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, as designed by Ian Rank-Broadley, faces right wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara. The sovereign's portrait is rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished field, as befitting a proof striking. The encircling legend reads ELIZABETH II AUSTRALIA 2017, with the designer's initials IRB appearing below the truncation of the bust.
