| Obverse description | The fourth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, as modelled by Ian Rank-Broadley, is depicted in right-facing profile bust, wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the upper left periphery, while AUSTRALIA and the date 2016 arc along the right, all in raised Latin lettering. The engraver's initials IRB appear in small relief below the truncation of the neck. The dodecagonal flan frames the portrait within a flat, unadorned field. |
