| 正面描述 | The fourth-generation effigy of Queen Elizabeth II faces right, rendered after the portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley. The Queen is depicted wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara. The peripheral legend reads ELIZABETH II AUSTRALIA 2018, with the engraver's initials IRB appearing below the truncation of the bust. The design is set within the plain field of the dodecagonal flan. |

The A9X Torana was Holden's homologation special, built in sufficient numbers to satisfy touring car racing rules and little else. The 1979 LX variant campaigned successfully in Bathurst, with Peter Brock and Jim Richards among its notable pilots during that period. Fewer than 400 road-going A9X hatchbacks were produced, making it among the rarest performance variants of any Australian manufacturer's output.
Pad printing on circulating-alloy blanks is an unusual production choice — the process deposits ink directly onto the coin surface rather than striking a coloured insert, which affects long-term durability in circulation. These were never intended to circulate.
