Reverse description The reverse features the Commonwealth Coat of Arms of Australia, centrally positioned, with a kangaroo as the dexter supporter and an emu as the sinister supporter, both standing upon a decorative branch of wattle blossom that extends across the field. Above the shield, the seven-pointed Commonwealth Star is displayed at the apex of the design. A scroll beneath the supporters bears the legend 'AUSTRALIA', and the denomination numeral '50' appears in large characters in the lower field, the entire composition designed by Stuart Devlin.
