背面描述 The reverse displays a vibrant pad-printed color scene commemorating the end of World War I in 1918, depicting a returning Australian soldier in uniform and slouch hat embracing a woman in a yellow dress and a young girl in a blue dress with a matching bow in her hair. The soldier's white-gloved hands gently cradle the faces of his family members in an emotionally evocative reunion composition. The curved legend 1918 ~ RETURN to FAMILY arcs across the upper field in raised lettering. The Perth Mint's P mintmark appears to the right side of the field. The color application is rendered through pad printing technique against a proof-finished silver background.

附加信息

Issued by the Perth Mint in 2018 to mark the centenary of the end of World War I, this piece commemorates the mass demobilization and repatriation of Australian troops following the Armistice. Over 330,000 Australians had served overseas; the physical and psychological toll of their return reshaped domestic policy, accelerating soldier-settlement schemes and repatriation benefits that remained contentious for decades. The pad-printing process used for the colorized elements is a relatively recent addition to the Perth Mint's production toolkit, applied here to achieve tonal subtlety that conventional enameling cannot replicate.
