| Obverse description | The obverse features the fourth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, modelled by Ian Rank-Broadley, depicted in right-facing profile wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara. The portrait is rendered in fine relief with carefully detailed hair and facial features characteristic of the Rank-Broadley design. The engraver's initials IRB appear in small relief below the truncation of the bust.
