| Obverse description | Right-facing diademed and draped effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, as modelled by Arnold Machin, occupies the centre of the field. The legend CAYMAN ISLANDS arcs along the left periphery and ELIZABETH II along the right periphery, both in raised Latin capitals. Flanking the portrait in the mid-field are the inscriptions 25TH ANNIV. to the left and CORONATION / 1953-1978 to the right, commemorating the Silver Jubilee of the Queen's coronation.
