| Reverse description | Central shield of the Canadian coat of arms, quartered with the arms of England, Scotland, Ireland, and France, topped by a royal crown and flanked by the lion and unicorn supporters standing on a compartment of maple leaves. The denomination 50 CENTS appears in the upper field above the shield, while the inscription CANADA and the date 2004 are displayed in the lower field. The design replicates the classic coat of arms reverse used on Canadian 50-cent pieces from 1953 to 1964. The entire design is rendered in high-relief proof finish within a beaded border. |
