| Obverse description | Unadorned bare head of Charles Vyner Brooke, third and last White Rajah of Sarawak, in right-facing profile, rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair strands. The circumferential legend reads 'C. V. BROOKE RAJAH' in the upper field and 'SARAWAK' along the lower rim, separated by raised dots at each side. The portrait occupies the majority of the field, with a plain, uncluttered background. The coin is bordered by a continuous beaded rim. |

| Reverse description | Large bold numeral '50' dominates the central field, rendered with fine engine-turned horizontal line engraving within the digits. The numeral is encircled by a decorative twisted rope border, tied at the base with a reef knot, below which the Heaton mint mark 'H' appears. The date '1927' is inscribed in the upper exergual area above the rope circle, flanked by two small dots. The word 'FIFTY' reads vertically along the left side of the rope border and 'CENTS' along the right, both running between the rope circle and the beaded outer rim. |
