| 背面描述 | A detailed coloured depiction of the RMS Titanic in full sail on the ocean surface occupies the upper portion of the reverse, rendered with vivid polychrome enamel highlighting the ship's four funnels and White Star Line livery. The lower portion presents a contrasting underwater scene, evoking the wreck resting on the seabed and symbolising the vessel's tragic fate. The legend TITANIC arcs prominently across the upper field, with WHITE STAR LINE inscribed centrally and the motto · THE QUEEN OF THE OCEAN · along the lower arc. |

Solomon Islands has operated a prolific commemorative program since the 1970s, routinely licensing its mint authority to third-party producers targeting the collector novelty market. This piece — gold-plated iron struck well over a century after the Titanic sank in April 1912 — belongs firmly to that category. The wreck itself was not located until 1985, when a joint American-French expedition led by Robert Ballard found it in approximately 3,800 meters of water some 370 miles southeast of Newfoundland.
