Additional information

The Solomon Islands has issued collectible legal tender under licensing arrangements for decades, and this piece fits squarely in that tradition — a sovereign issuer lending its authority to a privately marketed novelty. The Tutankhamun mask connection traces to the 1922 Howard Carter excavation in the Valley of the Kings, after which the boy-king's burial assemblage became the most commercially reproduced archaeological discovery in history.

At 75 grams in zinc-aluminium, the piece is clearly struck for display, not pocket change.
