| 正面描述 | Right-facing effigy of King Charles III, rendered in high relief with fine detail to the hair and facial features, after the portrait by Dominique Troalen whose initials 'DT' appear in the lower field. The legend 'CHARLES III · 2026 · SOLOMON ISLANDS' curves around the upper periphery in raised Latin lettering, conforming to the heptagonal shape of the flan. The denomination '· 50 CENTS ·' is inscribed along the lower border, flanked by raised dots. The gold-plated mirrored field imparts a prooflike finish to the obverse. |

The Hawker Hurricane is routinely overshadowed by the Spitfire in popular memory, yet RAF Fighter Command's own analysis concluded that Hurricanes accounted for more Luftwaffe kills during the Battle of Britain than all other defenses combined. Easier to manufacture, simpler to repair in the field, and more stable as a gun platform at low altitudes, it was the workhorse the Spitfire got the credit for.
Gold-plated iron issues of this type are notorious for edge corrosion where the plating meets the substrate — storage conditions matter more than usual here.
