| 裏面の説明 | A detailed depiction of Hadrian's Wall stretching across the central field, with a stone watchtower prominently rendered to the left and the wall receding into the middle distance. A fully armoured Roman legionary soldier stands at guard to the right, equipped with a crested helmet, spear, and shield, rendered in gold tone against a coloured red background evoking a dramatic sky and stone wall above. The design is framed by a decorative wreath border of laurel branches in gold on a red ground, with a reeded inner ring separating the central scene from the border. The legend 'HADRIAN'S WALL' is inscribed in raised Latin lettering along the upper periphery. |

Hadrian's Wall was begun around 122 AD following a visit by the emperor himself to Britain — one of the few times a reigning emperor toured the northern frontier in person. Construction took roughly six years and involved three legions. The Solomon Islands has no historical connection to Rome or Britain, but has issued commemorative pieces under licensed programs for decades, with the royal portrait providing the nominal issuing authority tie to the Crown.
