The Galápagos Islands fall under Ecuadorian jurisdiction, which makes their appearance on a Solomon Islands coin a purely commercial arrangement — one of many "fantasy geography" issues produced for the souvenir and collector market by private minting firms contracting with Pacific island governments whose nominal issuing authority comes cheaply. Ecuador has its own coinage. The islands have no monetary connection to the Solomons whatsoever.
