Reverse description The reverse depicts the allegorical figure of Britannia seated in right-facing profile, rendered in high sculptural relief across the full extent of the shaped flan. Britannia wears classical draped robes and a Corinthian helmet, and holds an upright trident in her right hand, the shaft of which extends to the upper edge of the coin. Her left hand rests upon a large oval shield bearing the coloured design of the Union Flag of the United Kingdom, applied in vivid red, white, and blue enamel. The overall composition fills the entire shaped planchet, with no peripheral legend on the reverse.
