Beschrijving keerzijde A charming coloured illustration in the central field depicts three stylised baby Australian animals: a kookaburra chick to the left, a juvenile kangaroo (joey) in the centre, and a baby koala to the right, all rendered in selective colour against the mirror-polished silver field. Decorative eucalyptus leaves and wattle blossoms are scattered throughout the field in relief. The legend 'CONGRATULATIONS!' arcs boldly along the upper portion of the coin. The date '2024' appears in the lower field, accompanied by the Perth Mint's 'P' mintmark to the right and the designer's initials 'NM' at lower right.

Aanvullende informatie

Issued to mark royal births, this type belongs to a long-running Perth Mint program that has tracked each new addition to the British royal line since the series began with the Cambridge children. The "Newborn" designation refers to the birth of a specific royal infant rather than the coin's own issue date, which is why the year span runs across two — production began before the relevant birth and continued into the following year.

The KM#4828 variety introduced the updated Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Charles III adopted progressively across Commonwealth mints from late 2024.
