背面描述 Central field features the large bold numeral '50' enclosed within a circular rope border, the rope terminating at the base in an ornate nautical knot. The date '1906' appears above the rope circle in the upper field, flanked on either side by raised dots. The word 'FIFTY' runs vertically along the left outer field and 'CENTS' runs vertically along the right outer field, both in upright Latin capitals between the rope border and the toothed denticle rim. The Heaton Mint Birmingham mintmark 'H' is struck below the rope knot at the very base of the design.

附加信息

Charles Brooke, the second White Rajah of Sarawak, inherited the territory from his uncle James Brooke in 1868 and governed it as a personal domain — not a British colony — for over fifty years. Sarawak's coinage was issued on his own authority, distinct from any Crown mint directive. The .800 silver standard used here was lower than the contemporary British sterling specification, a deliberate economic choice that kept bullion costs manageable for a small independent state reliant on antimony and pepper revenues.

Production of this type was contracted through the Birmingham Mint at Heaton.
