Reverse description Dark blue-purple print on a light ground, with an elaborate guilloche underprint in contrasting tones. The bank name "THE CENTRAL RESERVE BANK OF CHINA" is inscribed across the top in a bold arch. The denomination "FIFTY CENTS" is printed centrally in large lettering, flanked on both sides by the numeral "50" within ornate oval cartouches. Two facsimile signatures appear below, attributed to the Governor and Vice Governor, with the year "1940" and the printer's imprint at the foot.
