| 备注 |
Zimbabwe's Bearer Cheque series was a fiscal stopgap introduced when the Reserve Bank could not produce currency fast enough to keep pace with hyperinflation. Bearer Cheques were legally not banknotes — they were quasi-monetary instruments issued under the Bank Use Promotion Act, a bureaucratic distinction that meant nothing in practice to anyone using them to buy bread.
The 50 Cent denomination was already economically redundant within weeks of issue. By 2007, inflation had rendered sub-dollar values purely ceremonial, and this denomination was never reissued in subsequent cheque tranches.
