| 表面の説明 | The obverse is divided vertically into two distinct halves: the left half bears the truncated bare effigy of Queen Beatrix facing left, rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished field, while the right half displays the crowned coat of arms of Saba, featuring a shield supported by foliate mantling and a scroll inscribed 'SABA' at the base. Below the arms, the legend 'SABA' appears in bold incuse lettering, with the denomination numeral '50' beneath it. The design creates a striking bifurcated composition juxtaposing the royal portrait with the island's heraldic device. |

Saba's 2011 local coinage was issued as a transitional curiosity — the island had just been reconstituted as a special municipality of the Netherlands in October 2010 following the dissolution of the Netherlands Antilles, and these pieces were produced to give the territory a nominal local identity in metal. The US dollar functions as Saba's actual currency, so none of these coins entered meaningful circulation. They are administrative artifacts more than monetary ones.
