| Obverse description | The obverse displays the full national coat of arms of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago in high relief at the centre of the field. The shield, supported by two scarlet ibises, features a ship at full sail and three golden hummingbirds, surmounted by a helmet and crest depicting a coconut palm. A scroll beneath the supporters bears the national motto.
